INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP OF ST. BRUNO

The International Fellowship of St. Bruno was founded in 1999 originally as a small online discussion group of individuals interested in the Carthusian Order. In time the IFSB has grown into a global fellowship. This fellowship consists of those who have varying degrees of interest in the Carthusian Order, its history, and influence in the world today. Members are encouraged to adopt elements of Carthusian life into their lives as laymen.

For those who are called to a deeper and more profound effort  in this procees, after a one year or longer participation in the fellowship, one may apply for membership in the St. Bruno Lay Contemplatives.

Members  communicate primarily through an online forum. However, we encourage meetings of members through retreats, conferences, and in more casual settings such as tours of ancient Charterhouses that no longer serve as homes to the monks and nuns, or visits to member's Churches to aprticpate in various functions.

Though the IFSB does not engage in active fund raising, we do support the Order through appeals to donate to the Charterhouses. Membership in the IFSB is free, though we do accept donations for costs associated with maintaining our Internet properties and other activites.
